Klingon Feast 2006
Ship's Kaptain Reporting - Holo-images pending security review
After much discussion, it was finally decided we would brave the cold and make
the journey to Feast. It was much needed and we looked forward to being with our
fellow Klingons in the Fleet.
I arrived at the Admiral’s house on Friday night so we could get an early
departure. Unfortunately, there were few of us making this journey: Dennis,
Debbie, DJ, and I, but we had a great time touring Coca Cola, M&M, and The
Experience. I had never seen the Borg show, and it was a treat especially right
after the Klingon show. We fell prey, of course, to Quark’s power of persuasion
and added one more shirt to our luggage. We then prepared for feast.
We donned our uniforms in record time and headed for Valley of Fire. The Kahless
Ro’ had everything ready to go and awaiting our arrival. The food was excellent,
tasty, and plentiful. Other ships had already arrived and together we ate,
sampled the Romulan Ale, Bloodwine, and of course my Midori.
We then gathered around the campfire, took holopics, talked, and shared tales of
adventures of our travels in our duty with the Fleet. Discussions of Fleet
communication improvements led to many more tales of dealing with fangoobers and
ways to bring much Glory to the Empire and Fleet. We were honored to have Kroesh
in attendance (his first Feast) and his words of wisdom rang true. I learned
much from him and the Admirals and have many things to consider and reflect
upon. I am committed to strengthening myself and the ship. These discussions did
much to inspire.
The “Round Table” talks by the fireside with the stars and moon shinning
brightly provided the backdrop for what I found to be the best part of this
feast. The uniqueness of this event served to bring the Fleet together in a
unity not before seen at Feast. Our single spirit was culminated in a Death Howl
for our fallen Honorable Warriors. Our one voice echoed in the hills around us
as the spirits ascended in glory. The tales continued again until, regretfully,
it was time to leave.
Much praise to the Ro’ for another Fabulous Feast. Thank you for your labors of
love. Past Feasts meant a time to party, but this year the Fleet came together
as never before. The magic will linger.
