Biography

q' Dar was born, just Dar, the son of Jodi Grimes, a Federation ensign (Clerical Department) and Am'Rel, a Klingon Squadron Commander who was attached to the Klingon Ambassador to the Federation.

They met during an Opera, and found they had a lot in common, Klingon/Human not withstanding. She loved him for his decisiveness and strength and that he didn't spout rhetoric at her but explained his ways, the Klingon ways, to her. She had always wondered why everyone one Earth hated Klingons, even though, at first he scared her with his appearance, his deep voice and respectful tone won her over.

They fell in love. He found she was a real fighter. She didn't back down from a fight and she could hold her own against a person twice her weight and proved it once when they were attacked.

But because he was Klingon and she a Human in Starfleet and a member of the Federation, the relationship was doomed to failure. But they did have a child, male, Klingon/Human mix. He named him, "Dar" after his father, who was, in Am'Rel's opinion, a great warrior named M'Dar.

Two weeks later, Am'Rel had to say goodbye to his family, as he was being recalled to the Empire. The Romulans, who had been their allies, were now attacking Klingon outposts and colonies on the Klingon/Romulan border and the Empire needed their most experienced officers.

Months passed without hearing any word. Months turned into years. Now Lt. Jodi Grimes had a young Klingon hybrid to contend with and the stigma of having a Klingon child to deal with.

Then in Dar's first year of his Ascension, word came of Am'Rel, "We of the Klingon Defense Forces inform you of your Parmakii's most honorable death. We apologize for the extended delay in you receiving this sub-space message. And even though he fought most valiantly his command bridge was struck and all were killed."

A transporter beam deposited a chest with an PADD on top. The PADD read, "To my love, if you are reading this it is because I have died defending the Empire and the subjects within it. Inside this chest are my uniform, weapons and books. Please give them to our son, and let him decide where he wants to be. may you and our puqlod have Hoch' ebmey tIjon ej Qapla."

When Dar became 18 he told his mother that as he was getting Bs on his report card and that joining Starfleet was offered to him. But because he was not an A student, he was not able to attend Starfleet Academy. So instead he went to the Klingon Embassy and requested information on going to the Klingon Homeworld. Although his mother didn't like the idea, she let him go.

Sometime later he was standing on the Klingon Homeworld. On finding his fathers family, he found that they didn't want him in their household. With no where to go, Dar wandered the Streets of Qo'noS Capitol City. Sometimes fighting for his life, and surviving.

Then in the forest beyond the city, he was attacked by a wild targ, and he managed to kill it with his bare hands. He laid there barely alive from the wounds suffered, when the Line Founder and Proctor of House Veska came upon him while hunting and bound his wounds. Upon finding how this young warrior came to be in this deplorable condition, the Founder of House Veska, Khoragh and the House Proctor, Ke'vehq took this young Klingon/Human to their holdings and brought him to full health. They also observed his conversations with the members of House Veska and how he was, as they put it, "full of guile."

Approaching the young warrior, they said "We've decided. We want you to join this House. We know what happened to you and think you were wrongly dishonored. Come join House Veska."

On joining the Klingon Navy he was assigned to the IKV Iron Pride as a Security Officer. No sooner did he report for duty when most of the crew jumped ship and desert to the "Independent Klingon States", a renegade faction promoting war with the Federation. It was then that K'Dar went on a "Blood Hunt" to track down the deserters and executed each one of them, which he did.

For his action he was reassigned as Chief of Security aboard the IKV Hegh Tay, a K'T'inga Class Battlecrusier. He advanced in rank quickly. K'Dar was then transferred to the Imperial Marine Security Forces, and became 1st Lieutenant K' Dar tai-Veska.

However, the ship's commanding officer was exposed as a swindler and without honor. The Ship's XO had the dishonorable officer executed, and the ship seized.

K'Dar followed the honorable female XO, when she was given a command of her own. Now he is the Marine Contingent Commander aboard a modified K'vort Class Bird of Prey known as the IKRV Hurgh Hap, where he serves with honor to this day.
